Lauren Desberg, a singer from L.A., now active in N.Y., just had a new album out first in four years.
By changing the majority of the members, the rejuvenation of the band made the sound more modern. But the best attraction of the band is her cool, coquettish, and sexy voice! Over dubbing of her voices are frequently heard and they’re well thought out.
Another attractive aspect of this album is her original songs (all except track 8 and 10). She is credited for all songs and it’s not clear for what she is credited, lyrics or songs. But all the songs have intimate melodies and interesting sounds. With a lot of sound effects, she is trying to do something interesting that arouses young listeners’ curiosity. Really a modern and pop album!
