Tokiwa Takehiko, Intoxicate Magazine
On The Corner, released by Miles Davis (tp) in 1972, is an ambition that Miles released to street African youth. James Brown (vocal), Sly and Family Stone’s music, and the concept of Ornet Coleman (as, tp, vln) and British composer Paul Bachmaster, who had overwhelming support at the time. It fuses, and a striking solo runs through the storm of polyrhythmic grooves.
The core of the game was young Dave Dave Man (ts, ss, fl). Reeveman, now a living legend, visited Nashville in 2015, where many studios lined up and became a major hub for the American music industry. Jeff Coffin (ts, ss, fl, cl) who is active in Nashville at the time of Leaveman’s stay, Victor Utten (el-b), a colleague of Bella Freck & The Flextone, with whom he also participates, Leader group The Mu’te welcomed Leaveman by calling up Chris Walters (key), James Da Silva (g) in the local scene, and Chester Thompson (ds), a legend in Nashville. Miles Tribute Gig is this album.
The electric miles from original “On The Corner”, “Black Satin”, and “In A Silent Way”, which started the new era of Miles, to the ending theme “Jean Pierre”, which was the comeback period. The main lineup of It is an original of a groove filled with keos, but in this work, a mature leave man exudes Miles’s bewitching on a clear and solid groove. If it was Miles after a comeback, it might have extended the tentacles to a combination of Utten and Thompson. More than 43 years, Nashville Sound and Miles’ spirit have become one.
