The Old South Church, located at 645 Boylston Street, in Boston, Massachusetts, proudly presents The Berklee Global Jazz Institute Concert Series and Jam Session on Friday, February 7 at 7:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) will feature original repertoire as well as arranged standards in a concert followed by an open jam session. The Green and Red Ensembles will be featured on this particular evening. All levels and all instruments are encouraged to take part in the open jam session.
The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship through various musical disciplines, with pianist and composer Danilo Pérez as its artistic director. The BGJI provides a comprehensive contemporary music environment where students are given opportunities to explore their creativity to the highest level possible, advance the power of music as a tool for the betterment of society, and connect musical creative thinking with the natural environment.
