The seventies were knee-deep in influential jazz guitarists; notable among them was John Abercrombie, who died in 2017. To celebrate what would have been the deeply thoughtful and ever-lyrical improviser’s seventy-fifth birthday, a group of past collaborators, including Jack DeJohnette, Dave Liebman, and Mark Feldman as well as such musical beneficiaries as Ben Monder, Bob DeVos, and Rale Micic, assemble.
